Applying for UK Ancestry Visa
Please provide photocopies of all the documents you will be submitting.
- A completed visa application form: Employment Form (VAF2
OCT 2007). To complete the application form please go to the

- Your current passport with recommended validity of at least
6 months and any old passports.
- One recent coloured and unframed passport size photograph
taken with a light background. Approximate size should be
45mm x 35mm. For photo specifications please go to the following

- Visa fee in pesos. Payable across the Bank counter or Manager’s
Check (only from BPI, Banco de Oro, Metrobank & Standard Chartered
bank), made payable to the British Embassy Manila. And thru
Online & ATM BancNet. For applicable visa fee please go to

- Evidence that one of your grandparents was born in the United
Kingdom and Islands (or in the Republic of Ireland before
31 March 1922); (Birth on a British registered ship or aircraft
is included but not overseas military bases).
- Evidence that you can financially support yourself and any
dependants in the UK. We would recommend you supply your up-to-date
detailed bank statements and other savings. You may also submit
evidence of your bank funds held outside of the Philippines.
- Evidence of any employment or intended accommodation arranged
for the UK. If neither have been secured then a letter detailing
how you propose to maintain and accommodate yourself initially
in the UK is required.
- A signed Visa Application Checklist. For the corresponding
