- Returning Resident
Please provide photocopies of all the documents you will be submitting:
If you have been away longer than 2 years you may still qualify
to return to the UK as a resident if for example you have strong
family ties there or have lived there most of your life.
If you have been away for more than 2 years you are advised to
apply for a visa. If admitted to the UK as a returning resident
you will be granted entry for an indefinite period and you will
be allowed to work.
The requirements are:
- A completed visa application form: Settlement Form (VAF4
OCT 2007). To complete the application form please go to the
following link http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk
- Your current passport with recommended validity of at least
6 months and any old passports.
- One recent coloured and unframed passport sized photos taken
with a light background approximately 45mm X 35mm in size
and glued not stapled onto the designated space for the picture
in the application form. For photo specifications please go

- Visa fee in pesos. Payable across the Bank counter or Manager’s
Check (only from BPI, Banco de Oro, Metrobank & Standard Chartered
bank), made payable to the British Embassy Manila. And thru

- Evidence that you were previously resident in the UK for
example National Insurance or Income Tax records letters from
employers or pay slips
- A signed Visa Application Checklist. For the corresponding
